The Zonta District 1 Fall Conference is coming to the #Berkshires, and with that, we are working on a heartfelt project to help women in the region... The Period Project. It's extremely hard for women living in poverty to deal with the monthly financial and physical burden of a period. Products are costly and are not covered by SNAP or WIC. So, we're creating "kits" for area shelters or service centers to give to women in need. Below is a list of what we're collecting. To give, get in touch with any Zontian listed here and we will gladly collect donations of funds or supplies to contribute to this project.

• Sealed Boxes of Pads or Tampons
• Panty Liners
• Cleansing Wipes
• Hand Sanitizers and/or Soap
• New Pairs of Underwear (Any Size)

We are happy to share our 2017 'Real Men Say NO to Domestic Violence' calendar that was produced by the Advocacy Committee of the Zonta Club of Berkshire County.  The committee invited men from all walks of life and all parts of the county to join their voices for this important cause.  We are selling the calendars for $15 each, with proceeds to benefit the club's advocacy efforts and the Elizabeth Freeman Center, providing hope, help, and healing to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault—in Berkshire County, MA and surrounding areas.

The Real Men of Zontians in Berkshire County took part in a Walk a Mile fundraiser for the Elizabeth Freeman Center.  This annual event is held to raise awareness and funds in the prevention of sexual assault, domestic abuse, and violence in all forms.
