A message from the Director:
Marie has been a member of the Zonta Club of Truro Area since 1981. She has served as President and Chairs of several committees, and is currently the Club's Treasurer and District 1's Advocacy Chair, a position she has held since 2006.
Marie is a retired public health manager after having worked most of her career in the community and pubic health in Nova Scotia, and does occasional private consulting work for the Public Agency of Canada.
Her objectives in the role of Director:
1. To promote communications and sharing among the Area 3 Clubs.
2. To support Area 3 Clubs to achieve the ideals and objectives of Zonta International.
What is Zonta?
Zonta International is a worldwide organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women.
What are some of the Zonta International service projects?
Zonta International supports and administrates several different international service projects and/or programs Each biennium Zonta International sponsors international programs in association with agencies of the United Nations that work to advance the status of women. Most of the programs are in developing nations and are selected by the Zonta International Board and approved by the Zonta International membership.
