As a proud member of the Zonta Club of Malden, I am honored to serve as the Area IV Director for District 1.  Since 2002 I have been a member of Zonta International and the Zonta Club of Malden. I was recruited after speaking to the club about my organization, Tailored For Success, which is dedicated to empowering women in transition.  The more I learned about Zonta, I immediately saw my membership as a way to empower women and girls not only locally but also internationally.  During my membership, I have served in leadership positions as Club President (2010-2012), Vice President, Second Vice President, Membership Chair, Service and Advocacy Chair and Co-Chair of the Amelia Earhart Committee.  On the District level, I have served as Nominating Committee Chair and District Service Chair simultaneously during the 2012-2014 biennium.  I have also been fortunate to have attended Zonta International Conventions in San Antonio, Texas and Turin, Italy.

The mission of Zonta International is reflective of my passion and dedication to empowering women worldwide.  I am proud of the work Zonta International does around the world to advance the status of women and girls whether through international programs, international advocacy or local service and advocacy Zontians are making a real difference in the lives of many.

This is an exciting time for Zonta and during this biennium we have many programs planned to benefit women and girls.  I encourage you to come learn more about Zonta International and the work we do.  As a member you will become part of a group of more than 30,000 individuals who are working together to change the lives of women and girls in their local communities and around the world.  For more information about Zonta International, please visit the website at www.zonta.org.
