Director: Donna Clifford
A message from the Director:
After joining the Zonta Club of Medford in 2003, Donna served as a member of the Program Committee and Board of Directors, and most recently as club President for 4 years.
Donna is an investment consultant, specializing in Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) which is focused on community investing and micro credit as ways to help women and their families improve their lives. This is one of many ways in which her professional life intersects with both the goals of Zonta International and Donna's personal social justice work over the years, especially with the Unitarian Universalist church.
As Area Director, Donna's goals are to:
1. Communicate the biennium goals, raise awareness of their importance and help our clubs find ways to address those goals.
2. Continue to foster a spirit of cooperation among our clubs.
3. Raise the visibility of Zonta in our communities.
4. Learn more about how ZIF invests its money.
What is Zonta?
Zonta International is a worldwide organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women.
What are some of the Zonta International service projects?
Zonta International supports and administrates several different international service projects and/or programs Each biennium Zonta International sponsors international programs in association with agencies of the United Nations that work to advance the status of women. Most of the programs are in developing nations and are selected by the Zonta International Board and approved by the Zonta International membership.
