District I Clubs

The Zonta Collect

Keep us, O God from pettiness; Let us be large in thought, in word, in deed. Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking. May we put away all pretence and meet one another face to face without self pity and without prejudice. May we never be hasty in judgement, and always generous.Let us take time for all things, make us grow calm, serene, gentle.Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid. Grant that we may realize that it is the little things that create differences and that in the big things of life, we are at one. And may we strive to touch and to know that great common woman's heart of us all, and O Lord God, let us not forget to be kind!

Kudos to Maida Follini and Dr. Dora Stinson on their recent achievements:

Maida has just published her booklet, "A Quaker Odyssey, The Migration of Quaker Whalers from Nantucket, Massachusetts to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Milford Haven, Wales".  Published by Dartmouth Heritage Museum, the illustrated, paperboud booklet of 26 pages is $8 Canadian, plus postage.  All proceeds will go to the Museum.

Dora received the Canadian Medical Association Honorary Membership Award earlier this month.  Please use the link listed to read more about Dora's well-deserved recognition and see a photo as well!
We are fortunate to have such exemplary Zontians within our district.  Please share this exciting news with your members.
Congratulations Maida and Dora
