Women Empowering Women

We invite you to join us for the Ninth Annual WOMEN & POWER CONFERENCE. Each one of us is faced with many changes in our lives, be it physical, emotional or financial. This year's theme, "The Challenge of Change," focuses on topics that will allow for the participants to identify ways in which they can take charge of how they respond to those challenges of change.

This conference has something for all women! We have a number of workshops scheduled that cover a wide range of topics, some repeated from previous years and some new. There will also be tables where representatives from women-owned or managed businesses, and programs and businesses that offer services or products specifically for women, can display information or sell their wares. This year these tables will be in the cafeteria where the break, lunch and keynote address will be held - we hope this will encourage even more interaction between vendors and other participants!

Whether you come to learn, network or share your experiences, information or products, we hope you will find the conference inspiring and powerful, with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages group participation and the exchange of ideas.

This conference is juxtaposed with International Women's Day (March 8), so designated by the United Nations. In fact, the Congress of the United States has decreed that the month of March shall be known as Women's History Month. We also celebrate Zonta Rose Day with the yellow rose as a symbol of Zonta International's participation in the events that led to the creation of International Women's Day, and as a tribute to the past and a commitment to the future, improving the status of women at home and worldwide.
